Which SDrive plan should I choose?
Pick by data size and traffic. Lite (1 TB, 2 TB traffic) suits personal files and a few website backups. Plus (5 TB, 10 TB traffic, 10 sub-users) suits teams and agencies. Storage box, cloud drive or storage server?
SDrive is a protocol-based storage box (FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, SMB, S3 API) for backups and archives. Consumer cloud drives sync phones and laptops with a desktop app. Your own storage server means hardware and software you operate—see Sho Storage Engine for licensed storage software or SDrive for managed capacity.
How do I connect SDrive (Windows/macOS/Linux)?
Windows: map WebDAV or SMB from the client portal hostname. macOS: Finder → Connect to Server with smb:// or WebDAV URL. Linux/servers: rsync over SSH or rclone with the S3-compatible endpoint and keys from the portal.
How is my data secured?
Snapshots and versioning are included per plan card. SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS WebDAV, and TLS-terminated APIs encrypt data in transit. Confirm encryption at rest and data-centre location with support before you store regulated data.
SDrive vs Sho Storage Engine?
Sho Storage Engine sells storage-space software you install on your own Linux server. SDrive is managed capacity you access over SFTP/FTP/WebDAV/SMB/S3. Backup tools such as JetBackup connect to SDrive as a remote destination—it is not a backup tool itself.
Can I use it as offsite backup for cPanel?
Yes—use SFTP, S3-compatible APIs, or rsync on paid plans as a JetBackup or custom remote destination; match traffic limits on your SDrive plan card.
What happens when my storage box is nearly full?
Each plan has a soft quota at 90% of its storage (85% on Scale) with a 48-hour grace period, so you have time to delete old backups or order a larger plan. Snapshot and file-version limits for each plan are in the comparison table above.
Is SDrive the same as SDriveCloud or S-Drive?
No. SDrive on this page is the storage box sold by ShoHost (pronounced Show-Host) in India at storage.shohost.com. It is not related to SDriveCloud or to S-Drive for Salesforce.
Can I get a refund on SDrive?
No. SDrive storage plans are non-refundable, as stated on storage.shohost.com. Start with monthly billing on sdrive-lite if you want to try the service before paying for a longer cycle.
